Details

A fully featured adventure tyre with great road manners (wet or dry) and a load of off-road traction for the heavyweight adventure bike (150kg+).

The Motoz Tractionator® Adventure is technically 25% stronger than many other 'Adventure' tyres (think less punctures!) and has a deeper tread designed around a unique pattern with self sharpening blocks for better grip through the life of the tyre. Reviewers have commented upon its amazing longevity compared to its competitors (often more than 2x the mileage) together with it's excellent road manners and unrivalled grip offroad in a range of conditions from sandy river beds to technical singletrack. So, if you're off to Magadan (Sibirsky Style...off-road all the way!) or heading out onto the unexpected twists and turns of the TransEuroTrail(R) then these are the tyres for you!

Please note the difference between the Mk1 and Mk2 21" front tyres. The Mk2 has a wider tread pattern for more extreme offroad trips. This increases grip at the expense of the life of the tyre - thousands of miles MK1 against 1 weeks hardcore offroad ride MK2

Who Are Motoz?

Motoz isn't just another tyre company. Its designers, owners and test riders are the same people. Having been involved in the motorcycle tyre industry for 20 years these guys thought that the tyres they were buying/riding were uninspiring at best and more importantly they thought it was possible to do better. Turns out they were right!

Motoz only use the best available materials to achieve high standards that give Motoz tyres exceptionally long wear life and durability and the process is ISO9001:2008 certified(BVQI) and audited by TUV Rhienland.

Although the company is Australian the tyres are made in the internationally regonised tyre making centre of the universe, Thailand (who knew?!). The Motoz factory is 40 years old, privately owned and doesn't make tyres for anyone else. Motoz has been around for 10 years now and it owns all its own moulds, technology, patents and trademarks. i.e. These guys are serious about what they are doing. And that shows in some of the best tyres we've ever seen or ridden.

The holy grail of adventure tyres ? Review by John
The holy grail of adventure tyres ?" by , written on 12 July 2018
I've been running these now for over 2000km of UK and French TET trails on a KTM 690 RFR. Gravel, rock, ruts, tar, cobbles, mud, wet and dry. I am entirely converted to these. Great grip, fantastic wear, smooth rolling. I think I've found my ideal adventure/TET tyre

So far seems a good all round tyre Review by Kippermasher
So far seems a good all round tyre" by , written on 19 April 2018
My bike is a KTM 950 ADV. I bought the Tractionator rear as a long distance tyre to still have good off road performance after 1500 miles of tarmac. So far i have 750 on mostly tarmac including twisty good and also very rough with gravel a small amount of easy off road and sand.
The tyre works well in the wet with no nasty surprises and is good in the dry. the handling on tarmac is neutral and it is predictable on loose gravel and hooks up nicely on hard sand, so far not tried in soft or deep mud.
The wear rate so far looks good for this kind of tyre, down a couple of mm so should have well over 50% useable after the 1500. So far the only negative is the noise at motorway speeds but it is bearable and i can put up with it to have a decent tyre for the off road later on.
