Description

You know the score. You have too much ‘stuff’ bolted to your bars or hanging off every available Ram Ball mount slot available. You have charging cables everywhere and you can’t see the bikes clocks properly whilst the folding mirrors keep getting in the way of everything whenever you tuck them up safely out of harms way.

In addition, you can’t help thinking that on those long road runs just a little bit of relief from that wind blast would be really nice…

Say hello to the AS Universal Mini Fairing!

Super simple and bolted to your bars in seconds you’ll instantly gain a great looking fairing that will keep your GPS up high (exactly where you want it to stop you constantly looking downwards), allow you access to a mounting point for a 12v power source and a single 12v switch, and it will add a small screen that really does help to deflect a surprising amount of wind blast. Finally, it can help to keep the areas around your clocks clear so that you can access the information you need whenever you need it.

At this price, what’s not to love!

Please note : GPS Mount, 12v power source and 12v switch not included.

Great concept, 690 was a challenge but doable Review by Fred
Great concept, 690 was a challenge but doable" by , written on 26 April 2020
I like it a lot, it's smart, I'm sure it's going to be really useful, and while I completely accept 'universal' will always involve a bit of compromise, fitment on the 690 was quite a challenge! Initially it concealed my dash unless I put my bars in a v weird position, it left a huge gap between headlight cowl and the base of the screen, and it angled forwards a bit. To put it at a decent angle and position, I had to invert the arms. It works, but because the ends that meet the screen are asymmetrical, they're now pressing on the inside of the screen and they're not flush with the dashboard (though that's less of an issue). Added to which, they only just fit on the handlebars before with perhaps a couple mm overlap with the bend. What with quarantine, I haven't been able to see if they're still gripping enough to withstand the headwind, so time will tell! Also, if you have pivoting bar risers, I found I had to turn those inside out to make space for the fairing mounts (ie. inserted from the inside rather than the outside).
All that being said - I'm glad I've got one :) maybe some room for improvement, but I think it's a nifty idea and design.

Good stuff but not suitable with CRF 250 L Review by Imke
Good stuff but not suitable with CRF 250 L" by , written on 19 April 2020
Good quality, easy to fit, but unfortunately not usable for CRF 250 L, hides the display. I hope it will fit better to my DRZ 400 S which is in quarantine in Portugal.

***We have a CRF250l specific hard parts set signed off and awaiting production now, and the parts you have work really well with DRZ's!!!***

Very pleased, works well Review by Ben
Very pleased, works well" by , written on 14 December 2019
Slightly rough mouldings on the plastic arms, the metal work is good. Keeps the wind off nicely on my KTM 500 EXC. Quite a fiddly installation and you need to think carefully about cables for the GPS and in particular you need to consider how the brake line runs up behind the fairing and how that will interact with the power supplies and switches you might install in the fairing unit as the suspension is worked, there could be interference if you aren't careful. Makes the bike look quite cool and the GPS is held in a great spot.
