What is it?
The Atacama Race Pants are extremely tough, ventilated and quick drying. Designed and built for rally and extreme ADV riding, these riding pants focus on all day comfort in regular to warm environments or can be paired with ADV Spec Core Base Layers for extra warmth. They accommodate knee protection and have a more race focussed ‘in the boot’ finish. The pants use kevlar heat resistant panels that won’t deteriorate in the wash like leather.

How does it work?
The Atacama Race pants achieve their ‘all day comfort’ by using materials that offer incredibly high strength to weight. Unlike alternatives that use leather for protection which is heavy, dries slowly and deteriorates, we have built impact and abrasion resistance around 1000D ballistic nylon.
We have allowed for knee braces commonly used in competition by including a generous stretch ‘knee box’. Large front facing thigh vents allow for control of air flow in hot environments or times of extreme physical activity. Mesh panels help the lower leg ‘hug’ the riders leg whilst in the boot.
An integrated belt helps achieve a comfortable fit, or reinforced loops can be paired with braces if preferred.
Who is it for?
The Atacama Race Pants have been designed for riders who require extreme performance with minimal weight. Double Dakar finisher Lyndon Poskitt was instrumental in their development and used them for his 2017 Malle Moto campaign. If you are rally rider or serious about light weight ADV travel, and looking for a versatile pant that is part of a comprehensive clothing system then the Atacama Race Pants fit the bill.
