The Trans Am Trail : Off Road Across The USA


In 2001 Sam Correro finished an epic project. He mapped an off road route from east to west across the USA.

Following tracks, trails, dirt roads and any other un-paved ground he could find his route wound its way torturously over swamp, forest, plains, mountains and desert over a distance of nearly 5000 miles.

Ridden in its entirety only once before, lacking GPS points, and with little reliable information about trails, fuel stops, and map changes three riders set out from the UK to complete the 5000 mile route in only four weeks.

Since 2003 the Trans Am Trail has become amzingly popular and is now fully GPS Tracklogged, filmed, and even has its own forum dedicated to keeping riders updated about its status.
