Key Features

Integrated Electronic Thermal Management (ETM)

New Generation LED is Driven to 90% Efficiency

 PWM Integrated Dimming Circuitry

Xtreme 5 Watt LEDs Produces Nearly Twice the Light

Comes complete with relayed wiring loom and dash mountable toggle switch!

Prime Drive - The Smart LED Bar
Electronic Thermal Management
ETM monitors the heat output of the LEDs and makes use of integrated Pulse Width Modulation circuitry in order to maintain safe operating temperatures in order to prolong the LED life span to its full 50,000 hour potential.
Pulse Width Modulation
The Low Profile Xmitter Xtreme utilizes integrated Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) dimming circuitry to manage heat levels. PWM works by flashing the LED at a frequency faster than the human eye can detect, reducing the time that the LED is operating while still delivering 100% light output.

Bold, Strong Design- The Tough LED Bar
Extruded 6061 Aluminum
The Low Profile Xtreme features a 6061 extruded aluminum housing for ultimate strength and durability.
IP-68 Rated
The Low Profile Xtreme has achieved an ingress protection rating of IP-68, signifying that it is dust-proof and submersible in water up to 3 meters.

Proven Mounting System
The Low Profile Xtreme utilizes the Vision X signiture stud mounting system that allows for 15° of adjustability and helps to control vibration through the use of isolated rubber in the mount.

    • Hi could I use one or two of these on a ktm exc450 2013. Without modifying the electrical system
    • Rob,

As far as I am aware the 450EXC from 2012 onwards has a 196Watt stator, which should give around a total of 16Amps of power. We would need 30watts to run the two lights you propose to buy so that should be OK if we use the standard light wiring as the standard headlight will require a minimum of 35Watts. Also I have heard of people running 55watt bulbs in the standard KTM headlight unit for increased light (although it does melt the headlight unit apparently!) so ther eis spare capacity there if you need it.

In short, you should be able to remove your standard light unit and replace with 2xVisionX units using the same wiring and switch gear.

Hope that makes some sense and helps a little!

    • Hello Adventure Spec,

First off: great webshop! The amount of experience on this site gives loads of inspiration.

At the moment I'm modifying my Yamaha TT600R, model '98-'03, for long distance adventure rides. First thing to do is update the terrible headlight. The electrical system is basic but it is DC, without battery, with 180W (13A) so sufficient. I am thinking of replacing the 55/65Watt headlight with a VisionX Xmitter 5" for parklight/runninglight, a Optimus Prime 20 degree (or 10 degree if possible) for low beam and a Optimus Prime 10 degree for high beam. I try to achieve a wide spread of light like a OEM headlight with the advantage of the far greater distance of the LED light. With that in mind, I have a couple of questions.

      1. I'm not sure a 10 degree Optimus Prime would have enough spread to act as a good replacement for the low beam. Can you advice in this, also considering that the bike will still be used as a daily to work. Oncoming traffic should not be blinded by the modification.

      2. What would you recommend in combination with the answer on the above question for the Xmitter 5", a narrow or a wide beam?

Thanks in advance for the help.

      Greets,

      Peter.

P.S. if you think this question is useful for other users, than you can make it a public question.
    • Peter,

I think that the Xmitter 5" in the wide beam would make a great copy of a low beam light, you could then use the Optimus Prime 20 degree for the high beam. Using this you would have to point the Prime downwards slightly to replicate a high beam and that should go some way towards stopping the oncoming dazzling problems although you should be aware that what you have there is a LOT of light! For reference we use two solstice solos on our CRF250L, one 45/15 degree and one 10 degree spot to supplement the original lights and they make riding at night a really nice experience.

      Hope that helps...

Quality engineerd light Review by Tim Caddey
Quality engineerd light" by , written on 14 November 2014
This item was recommended by David here at AS , I was looking for something as a backup for my headlight on my XL650 , I have followed Davids advice with the Visionx Optimus dual 10W in the past and I was not disappointed , so hence the purchase of the 5" Xmitter .
Firstly I was very impressed , yet again with the highest quality lights out there on the market , you get what you pay for , they are not cheap but , I don't care I want the best money can buy , the design and quality of engineering that is in this light is second to none , the wiring harness has ample length to allow you to customise it to fit your bike , the switch is amazing quality , a joy to use . The fitment of this light with its rotating internal bracket means it can be adjusted to fit most applications required .
Light fitted , I tapped the switch wire into sidelight live , 2 negatives on to an earth on the frame , one power lead from relay to battery positive , that was it !
Powered it up and stood back !
Very Very bright , by now it was dark outside , could not resist going for a spin this light is brill , if your dip headlight goes out , who cares ! This is a great safety feature as a daytime running light , and a very good powerful main light for its size .
Even if you cant afford one , buy one , it will put a grin on your face , it has mine !
