Adventure-Spec feel we have found that holy grail in the Forcefield Action Shirt coupled with the Forcefield Sportlite L1 back protector, Forcefield Actions Shorts and Limb Tube knee armour!
For the adventure rider, long days in the saddle are the norm, so an armour system that takes this into account and is based around top quality moisture wicking baselayers is a major advantage. We feel the moulded lightweight CE approved Nitrex® armour housed in a "Tube" constructed from Cordura® and Lycra create the perfect knee protector, not as bulky as other strap-on type knee guards and far more comfortable (note that they're not as large as most guards, but teamed up with the Action Shorts offer massive coverage). Dual retaining straps can be removed for increased comfort if worn with tight outer garments and the Nitrex® armour is removable leaving the Tube easy to machine wash for prolonged freshness. Matched up with some of Klim's pants, you have an amazing kit great for expeditions, trail riding racing or just burning up the black-top! The materials we use offer repeat performance technology. Hard shell protectors can only take one impact and should be discarded immediately after a fall.
Flexibility
A combination of Nitrex technology and Multi layers has enabled Forcefield to offer more lightweight and flexible protectors. This allows the armour to flex with the body and not be restricted by it.
Breathability

My knees were damaged playing rugby many years ago. As a result I have found it impossible to wear knee armour withought suffering great pain after about an hour of the knee pads resting on my knee caps. Even light pressure results in pain and discomfort. I often have to ride without knee armour with all the attendant risks. Forcefield limb tubes have been the answer to my prayer. I can wear them for days at a time in total comfort. NO MOR PAIN! I was also worried that they would be hot in my tropical climate.... not so. They are very cool. On a recent ride of five days round Northern Philippines, I often forgot I was wearing them. The tubes come with Velcro straps however I found them to be unnecessary and leave them in the Givi. Well done Forcefield for an excellent product. I can now rest easy in the knowledge that my knees are protected. 10 / 10 product. (Posted on 05/10/2011)Overall rating
