Its been a while coming, but check out this awesome series of films following Ross Noble's attempt at the Redbull Romaniacs 2011.
Ross and his team mate, Clive 'Zippy' Town, battled the toughest terrain the Carpathian mountains had to offer on their KTM 350 EXC-F's.
Competing in Romaniacs is not for the faint hearted so massive respect goes out to anyone who dares rise to the challenge. This is not your regular celebrity 'getting out of my comfort zone' reality tv. Ross is a brave man to take it on and in many ways even braver to step so far out of his comfort zone AND have a film crew recording every minute of it. (For any non-UK readers Ross is a hugely popular stand-up comedian, who's surreal brand of improvised mayhem is genuinely unique)
Patsy Quick and Desert Rose Racing supported the riders and trained Ross up for his extreme enduro challenge (you can do the same by visiting the adventureridingacademy.com). Ross and Clive opted for Klim Chinook pants and F4 helmets, for their unrivalled performance and ruggedness in even the most extreme events. The bikes were hooked up with Kriega haul loops front and rear, plus the team used Kriega's Hydro3 hydration packs keeping them full of fluid throughout the long days in the mountains. Strapped to the back of their packs at all times was the trusty Klim Stow Away jacket, the most versatile piece of kit in any enduro riders bag of tricks. Perfect for cold mornings and keeping dry in the most extreme downpours, dont leave home without it!
Ross Noble, we salute you!
