    • I was wondering if these trousers would also work as an everyday over type trouser for my regular commute
    • They are certified as waterproof for road use by the GoreTex testing procedures and are are abrasion resistant as many non-Kevlar fabric clothing products. A number of our staff members regularly commute in these suits through summer and winter and love them. In short they work perfectly as commuting suits!

    • One of the reviewers mentions that the size runs large, i.e. he guesstimates his 32" waist pants to be 34". I wear 31" trousers, so 32" is fine for outerwear, but 34" would be way too much. Can you confirm/deny that guess (preferably with a precise measurement)?
    • Unfortunately a precise measurement is not possible as the rear of the pants are elasticated so they vary. There is also an integrated belt that allows a precise amount of adjustment to size

Sounds like a 32" is a good bet and 34" would definately be too big.

    • Can you advise me what armour these trousers have? Thanks.
    • Hi Peter,

The Traverse pants come from the factory with no armour, but do have pockets for knee and hip armour. We supply and recommend the Forcefield protectors listed in 'Related Products'

As they were designed as off-road pants, they are primarily designed to accomodate the seperate strap-on protectors or knee braces (http://www.alpinestars.com/shop/categories/moto/protection/b2-carbon-knee-brace/) favoured by most off-road riders

      Hope this helps!

Brilliant, but quite generously sized Review by Yahoo
Overall rating
Not tested them properly yet but first impressions are good. More substantial than what I thought and good to be a 32 again after many years of being fatter!
Seriously though get a size smaller, I'm normally a 34 but this was way too big even with the waist belt sinched up to the max. (Posted on 20/03/2012)
Comfortable all weather pants Review by Tetley
Overall rating
Do like the pants, bought them primarily for off road trips. Very waterproof and great in hot weather with the vents open.
The sizes come a bit larger than standard. I bough the 32" which is my size. I would say they are probably 34". Made for the American market Nuffield said!

Excellent product Review by Dave Bentley
Overall rating
Bought mine over 12 months ago and i have used them for everything from rallys to trailriding. they are light weight and comfy but most impressive of all is the fact that they keep you dry and work. i fell off in a huge icy puddle last winter and set there for at least three mins in the ice cold water while the bike was dragged off. stood up and was bone dry
did 3500 miles arround spain , portugal and france including three days off road in the Pyrenees and they were cool when all the vents were opened which can be done on the move
highly reccomend and worth every penny.
