Stow-away Jacket Review by Your Name

I just wanted to thank you very much for the prompt delivery of the jacket i ordered at the last moment for my trip to Namibia; and let you hvae my comments. A very important consideration when buying this jacket was the neat way it packs away into the pocket and how little space it takes up. I was hoping for a dry trip to Namibia and that the jacket would not be needed. However we experienced some torrential rain which resulted in severe flooding in places and I was incredibly grateful that i had the jacket with me. It worked superbly, was comfortable and most importantly kept my carefully developed beer belly dry throughout. Another great bonus was although it was very hot mostb of the time, and i was just wearing a race shirt and body armour, when it did cool down, but not actually raining, the wind proof addition of the jacket did just the job of keeping me warm without the bulk of carrying a full bulky over jacket. I must admit my initial impression was that the jacket was not cheap, but then again quality never is, and when it started raining hard and you have another 150 miles to cover the cost isn't relevant. It really is a quality piece of kit, well made and very compact, and i\\\\\\'m sure it will be a valuable piece of my riding kit both in the UK and abroad. Bulk is the enemy of the off road rider whether it be a days trail ride in the UK or a longer trip to the Alps, Morocco or Namibia. Much though you like to think it won't rain when in Africa, it does, and when it does rain its horrendous, and thats when its well worth investing in quality kit. Thanks a lot guys, it passed with flying colours. Shaun Merrick Gravel Travel. (Posted on 05/10/2011)

Tested in ernest today in a Philippine Typhoon. Despite elevated temperatures here, I remained cool inside this well made garment and more importantly the rain was kept OUT. Best jacket ever for me. Now come on guys, where are the companion pants!. (jeans got soaked thru) (Posted on 05/10/2011)
