Questions on Klim Dakar Pant
- From mat at 26/09/2011 16:37
- Hi there Have just bought a pair of Dakar pants from you and wondered whether you had any knee armour upgrade available?
Many thanks - hi,
The pockets in the Dakar pants are not that big, so we find the best solution is to use a set of the Forcefield shoulder upgrades. These are a good fit and do seem to stay put quite well (this is the setup a member of staff uses)

- Wondering if the Forcefield Knee & Hip Upgrade Armour fits inside these trousers?
And do they have belt loops?
Dave - The trousers don't have full belt loops but they do come with a fully adjustable waist belt built in so you shouldn't need to use a separate item.
The Dakar Pant is designed to work with either knee braces, forcefield limb tubes or you can slide in forcefield armour upgrades in the support pockets. Oddly you'll need to buy the SHOULDER Forcefield upgrades for the best fit.

- Hi, Do the trousers come with thigh pads in the pockets and a knee guard or are these extra?
- Andrew,
The Dakar pants come with pockets in the hip and knee areas for armour of your choice (or kneee brace use if you prefer to ride that way).
There is no armour supplied with this item.
Hope that helps - Do you find this question helpful? Yes No

I had a pair which I rode in cambodia and left over there, bought another pair for British riding and are really well made with quality zips unlike so many other brands. Comftable trousers, made to last! (Posted on 17/07/2012)Overall rating - 4 years and still going strong. Review by sdh2020

I have owned a pair of these for the last four years now. I can't fault them. I ride most weekends on the lanes in Hampshire, Surrey and berkshire. They get jet washed off at the end of a ride, then chucked in the washing machine. These are unbelivable. They have out lasted most of my other kit and are still going strong. My new pants arrived this morning so I used them this afternoon. My first bit of Klim clothing and I have to say they are brilliant. The build quality is absolutely fantastic, this matched by there comfort and usability makes them a great bit of kit. If you want a high quality pair of pants look now further. Awesome trousers, which were perfect for a trip to Morocco. The thigh vents really work, the pockets are a decent size for keys - right one even has a clip for them. Seriously tough material all over, big enough to fit comfortably over knee braces and plenty of velcro on the rear of the calves to close them after putting your boots on. Came up a treat after bunging them through the washing machine too! Only observation for improvement would be a rubberised strip round the inner waist band, so they grip a sweat wicking shirt and don't slide down so much. (Posted on 05/10/2011)Overall rating
