Day 14 Of The Dakar 2009

January 16, 2009 Craig Bounds, News

This morning Stan Watt left the bivouac as the lead UK rider as his four hour time penatly from stage 15 was removed after a protest by the FrontRowGB Team.

Craigs steady ride sees him moving up the leader board and daring to dream of finishing his first Dakar, arguably the hardest in recent years.

The video above is courtesy of José Alberto a Dakar fan who kindly offered Craig hospitality and brief respite from the pain of his damaged chest and back mid-stage, this years spectators are truly special people who have made the event into amazing occasion for all riders and sponsors. Thanks José!!!
